Content marketing strategist

Advanced is a Therapy and Nursing staffing company. I first started working with Advanced when they were assigned to me as a client at Staffing Robot, where I managed the creation of their new website. 

Advanced eventually acquired Staffing Robot in 2016 and I was retained to help launch additional sites as well as marketing campaigns for their newly launched brands. I focused on creating and managing unique marketing campaigns, in addition to collaborating with our designers and programmers on various marketing projects.

I also produced, wrote, shot, and edited brand-specific video content for Advanced — including animation and motion graphics.

Content strategist
June 2015 - June 2017

Staffing Robot was the premier full-service marketing agency for healthcare staffing companies. Most staffing companies have outdated websites, poor branding, and little marketing. We would change all that with a new, custom-built Wordpress site, a refreshed online presence, and an ongoing marketing plan.

As a Content Strategist, I was responsible for evaluating the client's current online presence and creating a strategy for revamping their site. I provided our designers with design direction for the new site, rewrote the content and worked closely with our SEO team to make sure the site made Google happy. I then worked with the Project Managers to coordinate a launch deadline that everyone could live with. 

After launch the fun began, with a continued marketing push on sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.

TECHNICAL EDITOR / Marketing Strategist

Metal Toad is a development shop that focuses on making web applications for large-scale companies. At the time I worked at Metal Toad, they were a Drupal-only shop with a focus on the entertainment industry.

I was the first non-developer hire at Metal Toad and took care of the public-facing side of the business. I grew organic traffic to the site through blog posts, video content marketing and social media. I was also responsible for creating a marketing team — consisting of me and a designer — to refresh the company's website, brand, and physical collateral.

Edge Software was a small startup built specifically around one large client project and a handful of smaller sites and apps. I partnered with a co-worker that I met at Team One in Los Angeles and built LunarMods - a Facebook eCommerce product for our client at

Now defunct - LunarMods was a product launch that required coordination with a client in Southern California, a set of programmers located on the east coast, and a design firm and front-end developer in Portland, Oregon. I was in charge of coordinating the teams to design and launch the product to the specs of the client and the aspirations of our company. 

This meant my day-to-day was obsessing over the lifecycle of the product which came in on-time and under-budget.

I trafficked the national online ad campaigns for Lexus and the Lexus Dealer Association - a Team One client. I coordinated and delivered assets to multiple sites such as Google, MSN, Yahoo, and Hulu. I also worked closely with Project Managers on campaigns and micro-sites to ensure that they met launch deadlines and worked with each site's individual tech requirements.

During college I worked at local news station KEZI on the morning show, doing a mix of Technical Directing, Audio Mixing and Chyron Production. This was an extension of the live video work I did at University of Oregon, directing and producing live broadcasts for the college network - where I was awarded "Best News Director."

The live news environment helped me cut my teeth on live-cutting and multi-cam editing, as well as rolling with any technical hiccups that were sure to come up from time to time.
